It has been discovered that the recent update to the EVO 3D and Sensation record specific information about your device, which is sent to Amazon’s cloud servers. The feature is named User Behavior Logging, which looks at the apps installed as well as the apps which you have been using and how you’ve been using them.
This may help HTC or carriers to notice which devices have been rooted, allowing them to decline warranty service. Pocketnow mentions that “it’s not outside the range of surveillance you consented to in order to use the phone’s software, so technically HTC is on solid ground” therefore HTC shouldn’t have any problems, but there has been no say from its users – some may question HTC why this is happening.
