Nokia C7 on Business call for R185 per month

The Nokia C7, currently with 2 more versions in the market, has sold at a nice rate. This device is also available in the South African Vodacom contracts deals section. With this deal, you get a Nokia C7 including free 30MB for 12 months.

You also get per minute billing and save R252 if you order online. The deal doesn’t mention whether the device has the latest PR update, but it can be downloaded OTA or by a software update on the PC.

Vodacom added Vodafone 553 on Top Up 49

The contract name normally shows the price at the end. Today, here is another deal that does the same thing but this time, this deal isn’t from Nokia or Samsung but part owner of Vodacom – Vodafone.

Currently valued at R49 on a 24 month contract deal, you receive a full QWERTY Keyboard as well as the latest version of Opera Mini built-in and a 2 megapixel camera topped of with touchscreen. This device till now is exclusive to Vodacom therefore any other reseller is not allowed to sell it unless it has been supplied by the source- Vodacom/Vodafone.

Vodacom online deals section shows 2 of the same deals with misleading information

I mentioned a few minutes ago that there are 2 deals of the Nokia C5 but this time, there are 2 of the same deals of the Blackberry 9780 on Top Up 315s. This has problem has been on the website for about 24 hours now, there has been no sign of it being fixed by this 16 year old company. Another mistake noticed is that the deal mentions that you can download “1000s free apps from Android”, the Blackberry device does not run on a Android OS.

If this deal is bough then a monthly charge of R64 and R315 is charged, you receive per second billing and your BIS is also activated.

Nokia 5330 Mobile TV edition on Vodacom Top Up 135

Vodacom first launched the Nokia 7710 with free DSTV channels but the catch was that for the channels to be active, you had to make sure that you watched them atleast 5 times a week. Then came the Sagem myMobileTV which wasn’t publicly offered but to chosen people only.

Vodacom now has a Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition which is exclusive to them only. The prices are R135 for a 2 year contract and you receive DSTV free for the 2 year contract. This particular doesn’t offer a 1 year guarantee like the Apple iPhone 4 White but rather a 2 year guarantee.

The Blackberry 8520 Curve is really cheap nowadays, it depends who you buy it from really. A prepaid Blackberry 8520 can cost up to R2000 from Hi-Fi Corp or R1700 from a private dealer. Vodacom currently has the device at R129 at a Top Up 135 for 24 months.

Since Vodacom is red, this device will also be red. All the other features are RIM defined, nothing has been added besides the phone being locked to Vodacom only. Vodacom does also offer a 24 month guarantee an if you don’t like the 8520, then you can return it withing 14 days.

Vodacom Website Shows No Prepaid Deals

Vodacom, the experienced company that has been working with customers for may years, decided to rather show contract deals and erase the prepaid deals of their website at all. The 4U Prepaid, Big Bonus Voucher, Vodacom 4 Less, VodacomAllDay per minute and per second options are all empty.

On the 24th June 2010, there were deals of prepaid at the website, this was before the change of Vodacom colour and logo to the same one of Vodafone, the main branch. There has been emails sent to Vodacom for the past ween but there has been no response as till yet neither has the issue been solved.

Save R600 on iPad WiFi and 3G deal from Vodacom

You may have noticed that South Africa has no launch of the iPad 2 yet. Vodacom reduced the iPad prices due to the news of the iPad 2 to arrive soon, there are different versions of the iPad WiFi and 3G, starting from 16GB, it costs R4999. The 32GB device costs R5999 and the 64GB iPad costs R6999.

The news from Vodacom also mentioned that you save R600 on each purchase from Vodacom. However, the news also included that Vodacom will give their own Vodacom Micro SIM card, therefore when you run out of airtime or data bundles, then you cannot insert it into another device of another make.
